Participation Guidelines
Welcome to the Bujinkan Taikai with Toshiro Nagato in Kufstein! To ensure a smooth event and create a safe and respectful training environment, we kindly ask all participants to follow these guidelines.
General Rules
- Participation in the Taikai requires respect for the instructors, training partners, and the event itself.
- The instructions of the organizers and instructors must be followed at all times.
- Dojo etiquette must be observed: bow when entering and leaving the training area and show respect to the instructors.
- A respectful attitude is expected. Unfair or dangerous behavior will not be tolerated.
Filming and Photography
- Filming and photography during training are strictly prohibited.
- Official photographers will document the event. Selected photos will be provided after the Taikai.
- Participants who wish to take private photos outside of training must obtain prior permission from the organizers.
Weapons Guidelines
- No metal weapons: Only wooden or plastic weapons are allowed.
- Weapons may only be used with the instructor’s approval and within designated exercises.
- Careless or uncontrolled handling of weapons will result in exclusion from training.
Health and Safety
- Each participant is responsible for their own safety. Train mindfully and be aware of your own limits.
- Injuries must be reported immediately to the organizers or instructors.
- If you feel unwell or have a medical condition, please inform the organizers before training.
Hygiene and Clothing
- Training should be conducted in a Bujinkan Gi or appropriate martial arts attire.
- Personal hygiene is a sign of respect: clean clothing and proper personal care are required.
- Long hair should be tied back, and jewelry or other potentially hazardous items must be removed before training.
- No outdoor shoes or outdoor tabi on the mats allowed. Please wear only indoor tabi or socks.
Punctuality and Organization
- Training starts and ends on time. Allow enough time for registration and changing.
- Late arrivals should be avoided. If you arrive late, enter the training area only with the instructor’s approval.
Behavior Outside of Training
- Respectful behavior extends beyond training hours. The Bujinkan represents a long-standing tradition, and participants should conduct themselves accordingly.
- The consumption of alcohol or drugs before or during the event is strictly prohibited.
